There are certain things in this world that I simply just can't comprehend. Or not even so much comprehend as much as except. One of those things is egotistical people. The people who think something can't happen or get by without them, especially if they have been involved in a situation or place for a long time, their mind switches to "cannot operate without me". Even if the situation has been "operating" without them for thousands of years.
I understand the feeling of wanting to feel needed. Everyone wants it. Everyone needs it. To get by. To survive.
However, the feeling of that, "I'm so good, that this place would fall to the ground if I left" is very different. Those type of people who are so prideful I can't comprehend.
Through all of this I am not saying I am as humble as possible. I am not saying I, myself have not been egotistical before, I am simply saying the older I get the more I notice these people and hope not to become one.
